Marriage Rescue is an educational, informational, relationship-development, and self-guided program created by Eric & Shannon Park.
The Marriage Rescue website and application are developed and supported by Navodos, 6560 Howick Rd, Celina, Ohio 45822.
Please read this Disclaimer carefully before participating in Marriage Rescue.
1. Marriage Rescue Is Not Professional Counseling or Therapy
Marriage Rescue is not psychotherapy, couples therapy, marriage counseling, mental-health treatment, medical care, legal advice, financial advice, or another licensed professional service.
Participation in Marriage Rescue does not create a therapist-client, counselor-client, physician-patient, attorney-client, clergy-penitent, fiduciary, or other professional relationship between a user and Marriage Rescue, Eric & Shannon Park, Navodos, or any person or organization involved with the Service.
Marriage Rescue is intended to provide structured educational material, reflection exercises, communication prompts, relationship exercises, and other tools that couples may choose to use in working on their marriage.
It is not a substitute for qualified professional assistance when such assistance is appropriate.
2. No Guarantee That a Marriage Will Be Saved
Relationships are complex, and outcomes depend upon circumstances beyond the control of Marriage Rescue.
Marriage Rescue makes no promise, warranty, representation, or guarantee that participation will:
- Save a marriage;
- Prevent separation or divorce;
- Restore trust;
- Resolve infidelity;
- Improve communication;
- Restore emotional or physical intimacy;
- Change a spouse's behavior;
- Prevent future conflict; or
- Produce any particular relationship outcome.
A user may experience substantial improvement, little improvement, no improvement, or increased awareness of serious relationship problems.
3. Not Appropriate for Every Relationship
Marriage Rescue is designed primarily for couples who can participate voluntarily and safely.
A structured couples program may not be appropriate where there is:
- Physical violence;
- Threatened violence;
- Sexual violence or coercion;
- Stalking;
- Intimidation;
- Severe controlling behavior;
- Immediate danger;
- Child abuse;
- Serious substance-related danger;
- Threats of suicide or self-harm;
- Threats to harm another person; or
- Other circumstances requiring immediate professional intervention.
If you or another person is in immediate danger, contact appropriate emergency services or qualified local assistance.
Marriage Rescue should not be used to delay seeking professional help when immediate safety is at issue.
4. Participation Must Be Voluntary
Neither spouse should use Marriage Rescue to coerce, threaten, interrogate, monitor, manipulate, diagnose, or control the other spouse.
Participation does not entitle one spouse to access another spouse's private responses.
Users agree to respect the privacy settings and intended purpose of the program.
5. Personal Responsibility
Users remain responsible for their own decisions, communications, conduct, and actions.
Marriage Rescue may encourage users to consider ideas, discuss difficult subjects, or complete exercises. Each user must determine whether a particular activity is safe and appropriate for their circumstances.
Users should discontinue an exercise and seek appropriate professional assistance if participation creates a legitimate concern for their safety or the safety of another person.
6. Artificial Intelligence Disclaimer
Marriage Rescue may incorporate artificial intelligence or automated analysis.
Artificial intelligence can make mistakes.
AI-generated observations, summaries, interpretations, questions, recommendations, or other content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for a user's circumstances.
AI cannot fully understand a marriage, determine who is right or wrong, diagnose either spouse, determine whether allegations are true, or replace the judgment of a qualified human professional.
Users should not make major legal, medical, financial, safety, or mental-health decisions solely on the basis of AI-generated content.
7. User Responses Are Subjective
Marriage Rescue may ask each spouse questions about the relationship.
An individual's response reflects that individual's perceptions, experiences, memories, and opinions.
Marriage Rescue does not independently determine whether statements made by either spouse are factually accurate.
An assessment, comparison, summary, or AI-generated observation based upon user responses should therefore be understood in that context.
8. Faith-Based Content
Marriage Rescue may include Christian, biblical, spiritual, or faith-based principles and content.
Such material is provided as part of the Marriage Rescue program and should not be interpreted as individualized pastoral counseling, theological counseling, or professional mental-health treatment.
Users remain responsible for determining how faith-based material applies to their individual beliefs and circumstances.
